My name is Ashley Sims and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio. I offer Teletherapy services to individual clients ages 18 and up that live in the state of Ohio. My practice, Little Lamp Christian Counseling LLC, is entirely online giving you access to therapy from the comfort of your home with secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth services. I adhere to the highest ethical standards to ensure your privacy and well-being, and use evidence-based researched methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and more.

I received my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University in 2020, giving me five years of experience in the field. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel supported and understood. I believe every client is unique, so I customize my approach to align with your specific goals and comfort level. Therapy is a collaborative process, so if at any point you feel the method being used is not a proper fit, feel free to share that with me, and we can adjust the treatment plan together, or discuss referrals.

While I welcome and work with people from all backgrounds, I offer Christian counseling for those who desire a faith-based approach. This means we can explore life’s challenges through a Christian worldview, integrating Biblical principles with research-backed techniques. I have been a Christian for 34 years, during which time I have learned that simply being a Christian does not exempt you from having a mental illness. Jesus was called the "Wonderful Counselor" and I promise you I will look to Him for guidance as we work through challenges together.

Having been “on the couch” myself, I am familiar with many of the challenges that come with mental illness and just how difficult the road to healing can be. But trust me, it is a road worth walking, and if you will allow me, I would be happy to walk that road with you.​​​
